Frequently Asked Questions

I do not bill insurance plans. Ray Chiropractic & Wellness is a cash-based practice.

This allows me to offer longer, more personalized visits without the restrictions, visit limits, or documentation requirements that often come with insurance-driven care. Many patients appreciate the simplicity, transparency, and flexibility of paying directly for care.

If you have questions about pricing or payment options, I’m always happy to discuss them before you book.

Short and long visits are designed to meet different care needs.

  • Short visits are ideal for focused follow-ups, maintenance care, or addressing a specific issue.
  • Long visits allow time for more complex concerns, multiple areas of focus, soft-tissue work, movement guidance, exercise and homecare review.

I’ll help you choose the visit length that best fits your goals, comfort level, and what your body needs at that time.

Our first visit is unrushed and one-on-one.

We’ll review your health history, discuss your concerns and goals, and perform a thorough assessment of movement, posture, joint function, and soft tissue. Treatment may begin at the first visit, depending on your comfort level and findings.

My goal is for you to leave feeling informed, supported, and clear about next steps—never pressured.

My approach combines chiropractic adjustments, myofascial and soft-tissue work, movement guidance, and functional nutrition—used thoughtfully rather than automatically.

I focus on:

  • Understanding patterns driving pain or dysfunction
  • Taking time to listen and observe how your body responds
  • Adjusting care as your needs change

Care is always one-on-one, hands-on, and individualized—without high-volume scheduling or preset treatment plans.

No referral is needed.
You’re welcome to schedule directly online or reach out with questions before booking if you’d like help deciding whether this is the right fit for you.

Appointment length varies depending on the visit type you choose.

Each visit may include a combination of:

  • Chiropractic adjustments (spine and/or extremities)
  • Myofascial or soft-tissue therapy
  • Movement or posture guidance
  • Brief lifestyle or nutrition discussion when appropriate

Visits are never rushed, and care is adjusted based on how your body responds that day.

In many cases, yes.

Most HSAs and FSAs allow payment for chiropractic care and certain supplements, though plan rules vary. I recommend checking with your plan administrator for specific coverage details.

Receipts are always provided for your records.

Chiropractic care is widely regarded as a safe, conservative approach to musculoskeletal care when performed by a licensed chiropractor and adapted to the individual’s age, condition, and comfort level. Dr. Ray’s ongoing postgraduate education includes training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, as well as myofascial coursework addressing pregnancy-related and pediatric movement patterns.
